Role: Interactive Producer

Company: Potion

After seeing Potion’s award winning Future Energy Table at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, the Science Centre Singapore knew they had to have a Future Energy Table of their own, but to recreate the table would take some doing.

For the project, I oversaw a team responsible for retrofitting a motion sensing, gesture based interactive computer written in an obsolete C++ frameworks into a round Displax touch screen developed in Unity. Developed during the pandemic, the project involved the fabrication of a custom interactive table at Chicago Scenic. Parts from all over the world including a custom seamed corian table top from Canada and a round Displax touch surface from Portugal. The project then concluded with a remote software installation via zoom and VPN to deploy this table to a Science Center in Asia.
